Deanna Robinson, Board Member

Deanna Robinson is a founding board member of Step 1 Recovery. Her personal journey with sobriety, which began on October 28, 2019, fuels her passion for outreach, recovery, and support.

Over the past six years, Deanna has had the honor of working with organizations such as The Jake Foundation, Charleston Center, and The Hope Center, focusing on supporting people experiencing hopelessness and helping them access recovery resources throughout the Tri-County area. She also stays active in the community alongside Cyrus Kamini through initiatives like Rocky’s Coat Drive and Toys for Good, reaching out to give back to the community that raised her by all means possible.

In her daily life, Deanna is a mother, grandmother, and manager at Christis Cleaning, a company also engaged in supporting local community services. Being with her family brings her great joy, and she takes pride in balancing her professional work with her commitment to service.

A proud Charleston native, Deanna lives by the creek and channels her energy into “giving back what was freely given to me—saving one life at a time.”
